Line Dance Zoom Information - Updated August 31, 2022

Summer dances at Shalimar are broadcast live on Zoom Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Arizona time.
NOTE: No Zoom broadcasts for Summer 2023 at this time.

Zoom setup for mobile devices:

On your device, open the App Store and search for "Zoom Cloud Meetings" app. Download and install this app.
During installation, Zoom will request access to your microphone and Camera. You MUST allow access else you will not be able to send video or audio to the other meeting participants! You can disable Sound and Video at any time while the app is running.

Note that there is a bug in Zoom for iPhone and iPads: The volume level can ONLY be set using the buttons on the side of the device; the on-screen volume control has no effect.
UPDATE July 2023: This bug has been fixed on Apple devices. The on-screen volume control now works normally.

Zoom setup for computers:

Zoom is available for free to run on most computers. Browse to the Zoom website https://zoom.us/ and download & install the "Zoom Desktop Client".

It is not necessary to have a Zoom account to run Zoom, but having a free account allows you to have more setting options (such as an avatar) and install standard virtual backgrounds.
